In the heart of Veneto’s gently sloping hills, Asolo Prosecco stands out for its character and authenticity.
Over the years, this small but ambitious denomination has built a strong reputation for excellence. It is driven by passionate producers and a steadfast commitment to quality.
The Asolo Prosecco denomination has reached an extraordinary milestone, achieving 30 million certified bottles. This is a remarkable accomplishment for the Consorzio Vini Asolo Montello and the denomination. It showcases consistent quantitative growth and notable qualitative improvement. This progress aligns with the Consortium’s long-standing objective of increasing the product’s value—a goal they remain committed to pursuing.
“We are proud of this achievement,” states Michele Noal, President of the Asolo Montello Consortium. “It is the result of the dedication of our producers, who have worked tirelessly over the years to elevate the denomination. This important collective effort reflects numerous initiatives that have contributed to this success. Asolo Prosecco has captured the attention of both national and international critics, earning excellent scores thanks to the commitment of wineries that have embraced territorial promotion projects and invested in quality.”
Asolo Prosecco continued global expansion and strategic goals for the future
A key driver of the denomination’s growth has been the consolidation and expansion of international markets. The United States continues to be the leading export destination, while Japan’s interest in Asolo Prosecco is also rising. Last November, the Consortium showcased its labels in Tokyo during the Slow Wine World Tour.
“Our wines,” Noal continues, “tell the story of a unique place. Through each glass, we can introduce the world to the village of Asolo, its charm, the stunning hills surrounding it, and the gastronomic treasures of our region. These are the lands of Canova and Palladio, where Giovanni Della Casa wrote the Galateo in the Abbey of Sant’Eustachio. This is also the birthplace of Montello’s red wines and the Recantina, a grape variety cultivated here for centuries and saved from extinction thanks to extensive research.”
After a transformative 2024, the Consorzio Vini Asolo Montello looks ahead to 2025 with optimism. This follows the renewal of roles and the creation of three new commissions.
“We will participate in major industry events such as Vinitaly, Vinexpo, and ProWein, as well as the Slow Wine Tour in the United States,” Noal confirms. “Additionally, we plan to intensify efforts to protect our denomination internationally. We focus on safeguarding and monitoring while strengthening education and outreach programs aimed at professionals and institutions in our region’s gastronomy and tourism fields.”
The Asolo Montello Consortium is ready to drive continued growth, quality, and territorial promotion into the future.
